These repeat clients were not only looking to seriously upgrade their deteriorating screened porch but also wanted a comfortable space in their home to enjoy a few peaceful moments, while also introducing much-needed character to their 1940s-built tract home.

Plans & renderings
The existing screened porch failed to meet these clients’ needs
in several different ways: the unconditioned space wasn’t
usable most of the year, it didn’t meet their aesthetic goals for
their home, and there were concerns about the stability of the
structure and foundation. They wanted to seize the opportunity
to refine both the appearance and function of this area of their
home.
