Warranty Service Technician

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Warranty Service Technician to join our team at Dave Fox Design Build Remodelers. The Warranty Service Technician will be responsible for addressing post-project completion issues, performing repairs, and ensuring client satisfaction by delivering high-quality warranty service. This role requires a strong attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review warranty service requests.
  • Schedule and prioritize warranty service appointments based on urgency and availability, coordinating with clients and team members.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of completed residential remodeling projects to identify and assess any defects, issues, or necessary repairs covered under warranty.
  • Perform a wide range of repair tasks, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and other remodeling-related work to resolve warranty issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other team members to gather information about the original project, specifications, and materials used to facilitate accurate repairs.
  • Order and procure necessary replacement parts, materials, and tools required for warranty service tasks.
  • Maintain a detailed record of each warranty service request, including the issue reported, actions taken, materials used, and time spent, to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Communicate professionally with clients to explain the warranty service process, timelines, and expectations, ensuring a positive and satisfactory experience.
  • Provide regular updates to the management team regarding the status of warranty service requests, potential trends in post-project issues, and suggestions for improving the overall quality of our projects.
  • Assist in developing and implementing best practices for residential remodeling projects to minimize the occurrence of warranty-related issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools, equipment, and materials are properly stored and maintained.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while performing warranty service tasks, ensuring the safety of oneself, team members, and clients.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a service technician, maintenance technician, or similar role in the residential remodeling, construction, or related industry.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and finishing work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Time management and organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple warranty service requests.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials and equipment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques, tools, and industry trends.

Interior Designer

Interior Designers at Dave Fox work collaboratively with Design Consultants and Project Managers to produce functional yet aesthetically pleasing spaces. We are looking for creative individuals who can efficiently manage their own schedules while multitasking between design and sales tasks on various residential renovation projects.

As a designer at Dave Fox, you will be expected to exude confidence in guiding homeowners through high-end remodeling projects from the initial planning phases through construction and final completion of projects.

Responsibilities:

    • Interview new customers and measure existing conditions
    • Develop design concepts within customer budgets
    • Research best practice materials and new design trends/concepts
    • Create scaled plans and elevations for installation purposes relating to millwork, plumbing, tile, cabinetry, and more
    • Gather samples and specify finish materials
    • Work with purchasing to quote, quantify, and order materials
    • Visit job sites and meet with installers and homeowner throughout the remodeling process

Requirements for Position:

    • Proven working experience in the remodeling industry including consultations and space planning
    • Four-year degree in design or related field
    • Minimum of four years of design experience
    • Experience in cabinetry design, specific to kitchen and bath
    • Proficient in CAD programs: 20/20 preferred or similar
    • Portfolio of work
    • Individual must have a high level of integrity and respect for their peers
    • Individual must value a collaborative work environment
    • Intermediate understanding of kitchen and bath systems, including plumbing and electrical knowledge.

    We are seeking a full-time, experienced residential Field Carpenter position within the company.  Must be a service-oriented person with a background (of at least 5-7 years) in carpentry.     Design/Sales Consultant

    Design Consultants will work in unison with our Interior Designers and Project Managers to design, specify, estimate, and build upscale residential remodeling projects including kitchens, baths, room additions, basements, and whole house remodels.
    Design Consultants must have the experience and training to design high-end remodeling projects, including a sound understanding of architectural and structural design. Consultants must have the skills to accurately assess the client’s goals and budget, and consistently create a solution that meets all objectives. Professional interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to a wide range of personalities are a must.
    Key Responsibilities:
    – Qualify prospects on the phone
    – Measure and photograph existing structure
    – Design interior and exterior floor plans and elevations using SoftPlan architectural software
    – Specify and price all tasks and materials required to construct specific projects
    – Obtain quotes from subcontractors and vendors as needed
    – Present design, specifications, and cost analysis to clients
    – Visit job sites and meet with installers and homeowner throughout the remodeling process

    Requirements for Position:
    – Minimum of five (5) years of design & sales experience
    – Strong interpersonal/sales skills
    – Proficient in SoftPlan or similar CAD program
    – Occasional evening and weekend hours to be expected
