These clients loved to cook and entertain but found themselves with a kitchen that was impractical for one person, let alone hosting a dinner party. The narrow space in their Powell kitchen was too small for its two-tier island, making it hard to navigate if anyone was seated.

BEFORE

The room’s dimensions presented a design challenge: it was too wide for a galley layout, yet too narrow too comfortably accommodate an island. Ultimately, the best solution was to use the perimeter of the room for cabinetry.

Plans & renderings

By relocating the refrigerator and incorporating a peninsula, the design maintained an open feel to the dining area while also accommodating additional seating. Ultimately, this remodel not only created a more functional and inviting space but also allowed for future flexibility. Whether it’s everyday meal prep or hosting gatherings, the homeowners now have a kitchen that perfectly aligns with their lifestyle and vision.
