Feeling very uninspired in their closed-off Powell kitchen, this family (which includes an chef) was ready for a change.

BEFORE

The previous kitchen was awkwardly placed in the middle of the home and closed off, and starting to look dated, making it hard to entertain. This client is also a chef, and this space made it very hard for them to feel inspired.

Plans & renderings

By removing the wall that housed a double-sided fireplace, which the clients never used, allowed us to expand the kitchen into the former living room, creating the island of their dreams. Additionally, we added a butler’s pantry where the old kitchen was, that is sure to inspire some pastry baking especially with that pop of color.
