These clients were looking for a kitchen space that functions well for them without taking too much space from the other areas of their Columbus house.
Project Completed: 2022
Space was a premium in this smaller, 1,200 square foot, 1950’s home. The kitchen always felt cramped and there was only enough room for one person to occupy the space at a time. Family is very important to these clients, and they wanted to open up the kitchen to make it easier for their grandkids to spend time with them during gatherings.
We removed the wall that divided the kitchen and family room but didn’t want to steal too much space. The kitchen only extended about a foot into the adjacent room but allowed us to fit a small island. It added much needed additional storage and prep space while creating a more open feel.
