Moody Powder Room
These clients in Dublin wanted a wow-worthy powder bath to impress their guests.

BEFORE
When these clients moved into their home it had two full bathrooms on the main floor—the primary ensuite and a guest bathroom right off their entry. After 20 years in the house, they realized that the shower had not been used once as overnight guests used the upstairs bathroom adjacent to the guest bathrooms. While converting a full bath into a half bath may seem like an unconventional decision, these clients knew there had to be a better way to use the space.
PLANS & RENDERINGS
In this project, the goal was to figure out the best use for the extra room created by eliminating the shower. The toilet and sink were shifted into the area formerly occupied by the shower, the original doorway into the bathroom was converted into a cased opening and a new wall was built between the powder room and this new vestibule.
