A Whole New World
These clients originally built their Plain City home nearly 30 years ago. After so much time, they were ready for a fresh start. Rather than leaving their beloved neighborhood, they entrusted us with creating something that felt brand new in the home they already owned.

BEFORE
There were several glaring issues with the existing kitchen. It was closed off to the rest of the first floor, the aesthetic was dated and the cabinetry didn’t function the way these clients needed. In the bathroom the massive corner tub took way too much room in this spacious primary bathroom making it feel smaller than it was. These clients had also spent years dealing with a cramped laundry closet that was inconveniently located next to the garage entry.
Plans & renderings
Eliminating the wall that divided the kitchen and family room created a more open concept space ideal for entertaining and provided enough space to add much needed functional solutions, including a walk-in pantry. A zero-entry shower with discreet and stylish ADA elements was a high priority for these clients. Reconfiguring the bathroom allowed us to design a shower three times larger than what they previously had with grab bars and a bench. Converting the infrequently used formal dining room into a laundry room and mudroom gave these homeowners a more practical use for the space they already have.
