These homeowners loved their New Albany home but longed for a more open and functional floorplan.

BEFORE

The previous kitchen felt small and the homeowners would get “trapped” inside of it. The underutilized formal dining room started becoming more of a drop zone for this family so it seemed like the perfect place to give this home the mudroom it was missing.

Plans & renderings

We were able to accommodate a large mudroom and walk-in pantry by reworking the floorplan and taking over the formal dining room space. By removing the column in the kitchen we were able to create a more open & inviting space.
