These clients in Powell were looking to transform a tight basement into an old-world-influenced bar and wine room ideal for entertaining.
These clients had many things they were trying to fit into a fairly small, awkwardly shaped space. The stairs down to the basement had a turn and entered the room at an angle, creating a bottleneck. We had to think outside the box in order to deliver everything these clients were looking for.
It was important to these homeowners that their basement didn’t feel like it was a basement (like it did before).
Due to the location of the furnace, hot water heaters and a post in the unfinished portion of the basement, our options were limited when it came to the placement of the wine room. We made the unconventional decision to utilize the space under the stairs and just beyond to create the wine cellar these clients were looking for.
