The basement is a space that provides extra square footage for things like pool tables, foosball tables, ping pong and air hockey. You can also make your game room as grown up as you want by including things like cigar humidors, a dry or wet bar or a wine cellar.
The Wine Room

Basements are often perfect for wine rooms and cellars, since they are able to remain at cooler temperatures. We love building custom cabinetry, nooks and holders for your wine collection. Basements are one of the best places to put a media room. They are naturally dark and quiet which creates a perfect environment for a big screen and large, comfy couches that won’t necessarily fit into a traditional family room. Like the game room, the media room can be built for grown ups or kids, depending on your finishes and amenities. Stock soda into a vintage coke machine, or build in a full bar for the best movie nights in town.

Sometimes you just need a peaceful, relaxing space to get away and read your favorite book, scroll on Instagram or have a place that’s away from the hustle and bustle of the main home. Many of our clients love to entertain, and we’ve helped many of them put full kitchens and bars into their basements. But gone are the days of dark wood paneling, green carpet and Velvet Elvis paintings (though you can certainly have that if you want!). These full kitchens or bars can have every function and convenience of your upstairs space, plus great lighting to boot.
