This client wanted to add a “wow” factor to their current family room. They requested a design without a television, without built-ins and a fireplace without a mantel.  These request presented a unique design challenge and an extraordinary space!

BEFORE

The existing family room felt plain and did not fit the homeowners wants, needs or style.  The goal was to add some formality and “wow” factor to the space.

PLANs

Although the floor plan did not change, careful planning was done when it came to the paneling, molding and trim detail. A number of factors were taken into consideration including the height of the molding, various openings in the room and overall proportions.
