This young couple loves to entertain, but living in German Village where space is limited this sometimes presented a problem. Before we did the project they basically had 3 small rooms including an enclosed kitchen which seemed very dark.  We opened up the walls on both sides of the kitchen, ultimately creating an open floor plan filled with natural light.We met the homeowners needs and also stayed within their budget.

This German Village kitchen was in dire need of a redesign.  The main flow of traffic went past the sink and food preparation area, which constantly
interrupted the cook.  The new design moved the kitchen sink to a new penisula to capture the view out the back patio door.  Foot traffic was no longer
a problem as it now flows past a coffee and espresso bar and to the patio doors at the rear of the kitchen.  Slate tile was installed on the floor to bring
warm earth tones into the space.  Stainless steel appliances and a gooseneck faucet give the kitchen a contemporary flair, while the cabinets tone
things down to keep with the flavor of German Village.
